Check-in Time:

Please advise us if you will need to check in before noon.

Check-out Time:

Pets need to be picked up before 3PM.

Pets staying after 3PM will be charged for that night.

Pre-Entry Check –

All pets are given a brief pre-entry check on arrival.  Anything unusual should be brought to our attention.  If fleas or ticks are found, we will need to treat your pet prior to entering the kennel.  The pre-entry check performed by our kennel attendants is superficial only and not intended to replace a physical exam performed by your veterinarian or imply medical judgment.

Vaccinations –

Your veterinarian is your best source for information regarding vaccinations for your pet.  For the safety of all pets, proof of vaccinations is required at the time of boarding.

Vaccination Requirements for Dogs –

All dogs are required to have current vaccinations for rabies, distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvo and Bordetella (kennel cough).  These vaccinations must be administered no later than 3 days prior to boarding.

Vaccination Requirements for Cats –

All cats are required to have current vaccinations for feline rabies, distemper, rhinotrcheitis and calici.  These vaccines must be administered no later than 3 days prior to boarding.

Health Records –

To ensure a thorough understanding of your pet’s specific needs, all medical records and instructions concerning medications and special requirements must be detailed to the staff, in writing,  at check-in time.  All medications are to be kept in an airtight container and clearly labeled with pet’s name, owner’s name and veterinarian’s name and phone number.

Veterinary Services –

If your pet requires veterinarian services during a stay in the kennel, we will contact the veterinarian you have listed during the check-in process.  If necessary, we will transport your pet to your veterinarian for service, for a nominal fee.  In the event your veterinarian cannot be contacted, we reserve the right to contact our in-house veterinarian to examine and treat your pet’s illness at your expense.  Elkhound Ranch Kennels is affiliated with Cross Roads Animal Hospital.

Personal Belongings –

We understand the importance of giving your pet a sense of comfort and security during their stay at Elkhound Ranch Kennels.  For the sake of safety and cleanliness, we request that personal articles be limited to only two items per pet.  All items must be dishwasher safe and clearly marked with your pet’s name. No cloth items will be allowed except for a “security” shirt.   Elkhound Ranch Kennels is not responsible for the loss or damage of any personal items.

Bedding is provided for all our canine and feline guests.  For sanitation purposes we kindly ask that you leave your pet’s usual bedding at home.
