This is an amazing facility for your lil furry friends. Our two dogs enjoy their time spent away and always come back home smelling fresh and ready for a nap. One of our dogs requires a bit of space and is very wary of strangers. So far, he has been doing wonderfully and slowly coming out of his shell more. We are very grateful for the patience and kindness the staff continues to show our dogs. They are willing to work with you on what is best for your dog as to make the experience more enjoyable + safer for them. Scheduling is never a hassle, communication is clear, and pick up/drop off is easy. We look forward to the next time our kiddos get a “weekend at camp” and will continue to utilize their services for all future pets. Thank you always!

Elkhound is amazing! I always feel safe leaving my pup there! The staff is super sweet! Never have they had a problem with my dog even though other daycares have told me he has “gate aggression.” They tell me there’s no such thing and most dogs act that way when overstimulated. I will always bring him here and no where else!

We took our two dogs in for boarding and training. We have been pleased with the results. One of our dogs is a rescue who was abused; and we are going to follow up the boarding training with some one-on-one sessions. We are especially pleased with the trainer, who took a lot of time explaining the training to us; but everyone was knowledgeable about our dogs, and could share information with us when we called or came and dropped of a prescription refill. We feel confident in recommending Elkhound Ranch for either boarding or training, or both.

I've been boarding my dog Leany here for years. She absolutely freaking LOVES it. To the point her tail starts thumping the car door when we get close. It's a nerve-wracking experience to trust someone with your fur baby, but they make it SO easy. They even provide baths and nail trims! Look no further than Elkhound Ranch Kennels.

I used Elkhound for training my 2 puppy chihuahuas. They were 4 months old. A big taking on I feel. Puppies.... They came home knowing everything they said they would! It was a little hard imagining them obeying but they do. That being said, they train them. But the owner has to learn too. They have spent several hours with me post training to make sure everyone (me and the dogs) are getting it and that they will obey for me like they did for them. They have a lead trainer - Bill. Love Bill. He's passionate about his job. He also uses other staff to train so that they learn from several voices and people, which makes it easier for the dogs to then take commands from the owner. This facility is very hands on and very much involved in the care after your pet leaves. It's definitely NOT a situation of 'they are trained, here they are, see you later'. The staff loved and snuggled my babies. Right now they are running a special, which is very much worth it. I know it sounds expensive.... but you won't be disappointed.
